Tornado Swept Through Cherokee County Georgia 6-13-03
The National Weather Service has confirmed that one tornado touched down in the area Thursday, and Emergency Management personnel are attempting to confirm a second tornado track through Cherokee County.
On Thursday night, a line of sever storms tracked through Alabama and Georgia, dropping hail, stirring up damaging winds, and spawning an EF1 Tornado in Cherokee County. Tornadoes in Georgia are becoming more common, and a look at the history of tornadoes in the state shows that not many places in Georgia haven’t seen a tornado.
